By 'platform', do you mean opensource server software we can self-host and federate, or is this another centralized proprietary walled garden?

For a Music Label site, I need โฆ
- groups with sensible fediverse handles
- groups are site members only, assigned by admin
- membership added only by CSV or such
- members have a fediverse presence
- a Local feed and a site fedi acct
- events can be replicated and venue profiles stored
- toots look at least ok on other platforms
- template customization or theme that's not ugly ๐
- group calendars

Other than no templates and the long list of caveats and workarounds, #mobilizon would do all of what I need, if it worked. I believe it was originally meant for planning protests; music is our protest ๐
Sadly support collapsed years ago. A new agency recently took over, they released one update that then fucked up the calendar widget and have been busy on other things since. It was SO close ๐ซ
I could do all this with ordinary WordPress, but where's the fun in that?

I would love for Bandwagon to check all of the boxes on this. We just rolled out some big updates to events and search, so I feel weโre at least part of the way there. Plus, the whole thing is made to be extensible, so it โshould be easyโ to make it fit what you want for music labels.
