Hello everyone!

We’ve been watching the usage of our Mobilizon instance for a few months now and saw that it hadn’t been used for a long time, so we decided to turn it off to save some infrastructural resources and redirect them elsewhere, effective immediately.

This decision was further pushed by the neat fact that we can setup events in Discourse too, with a neat calendar (interested in joining us? Click here)

Generally speaking we prefer to have a little buffer period between the shutdown announcement and the effective shutdown to allow users migration and backups, but in this case Mobilizon doesn’t permit neither.

In this case we will let users claiming their own events by contacting a staff member and after a grace period of a month we will permanently delete the database in accordion with GDPR and privacy regulations even though the data collected isn't sensible, but we prefer doing the extra step, because all of your data is your data.
