@gnome Congratz! Looking forward to giving it a go. Looks like a really nice release!
@gnome looking good! Congrats on the release 🎉
@gnome Somehow during the cycle I had gotten the idea that not many big improvements had landed, but now seeing them listed out like this, this looks like another great release! Congrats!
@gnome Awesome! Thanks everybody!
@gnome looking forward to having @jsparber’s code in my laptop ahah
@gnome Go GNOME 🎉 !
@gnome Congratulations on a job well done ! And can't wait to test the optimizations 🤓
@gnome Oh, nice! This is really good news! Can't wait to experience the improvements myself!
@gnome Congrats! This looks really awesome 😍

@gnome
Thank you very much. But please with less search cooperations and chrome or webkit code too.

Love your Wayland support and work. Just add some worry about future developments before.

@gnome I have a question about the work space switching and I’m sure if it’s a #gnome thing a #fedora 42 thing or a #boxes thing. I have fedora 42 installed in boxes and the behaviour of the work space switches immediately with out animation . This to me is actually shocking/jarring . Can anyone tell me if this is the new default behaviour for work space switching in gnome or should I be looking at another culprit?
@ZiesMcDoom @gnome Animations Effects are probably disabled in the settings by default in VMs to save resources (i think)

@ZiesMcDoom @gnome This can be changed in settings under accessibility. :-)

Seems like the default should be the other way around. :-/

@adventure_tense @gnome thanks. I hadn’t thought of that.

@ZiesMcDoom @gnome It doesn't at first feel like an intuitive place. But I guess it sort of makes sense.

I know about this one because I just had to go find it for myself on a recent install.

@gnome Where do I send the invoice for my great idea of having a sidebar in the text editor?
@woltiv Send it to KDE, they have all the money for kool features 😁

@gnome but what about AI?

Just kidding, congratulation to the release!

@gnome WOO!!! congrats on the release!!!

@gnome Really impressed with these improvements! Thank you for all your work.

Back in December, @ramcq posted an RFP for improving parental controls, funded by Endless (c.f. https://floss.social/@gnome/113607110831701522). Any bites on working on this project?

@ozdreaming @gnome Watch this space! The Digital Wellbeing work in GNOME 48 is the initial part of these screen time controls which are still being worked on by Philip Withnall, and we're hoping to move ahead with some basic network filtering this year as well. It's a two year grant from Endless so we'd like to see what we can land in GNOME 49, hopefully impress and find some follow-on funding to finish the loose ends.
@gnome Incredible release in my book. Thanks a ton!
