Great to see many people receiving their @jolla C2 devices! While I was busy travelling last month across 3 continents for family reunion and conferences, I totally missed the "complete your order" email for mine, and just placed my order yesterday. Now I wait... Hope it arrives in time as a Christmas gift :)

#JollaC2 #SailfishOS

Got my #JollaC2 , thanks @jolla !!

@cybette The battery drained overnight from around 46% and the phone shut off. I've only added the Tooter app and email sync since the previous night (without drain). Suspect the latter.

#JollaC2

Edit: after 2 more days of normal battery drain I think it was just the initial sync taking too much battery juice. Looks ok for now.

@cybette very disappointed in the camera though, and I had low expectations to begin with. Went to a circus show over the weekend, couldn't capture anything decent with it. I know the lighting conditions are challenging, but #Finland is dark for half the year! Gotta wait till summer for decent pics? 😆

#SorinSirkus

No need to wait until summer, just gotta catch some light before the 3pm sunset!

Photo of the #Tampella factory area, the namesake of #SailfishOS 5.0 release. It's my hood <3

The #JollaC2 front camera though... Well maybe less selfies the better eh? xD

Size matters.

Why do most manufacturers think Pro Max Plus Ultra XL is the best? Do most users think the same?

Why do I drop my phone so much? Yes I'm clumsy, but when I can't even reach the middle of the phone, there's no way I can properly balance it. #SailfishOS gestures help but only up to a point.

If only the #JollaC2 was the size of #JollaC...

@cybette Could it be that many people use their phone as primary or even only computing device? In that case, a device with little screen real estate might be a downside.

For me, a phone is still just a sidekick. Doesn't mean I don't want a performant one. Small, high end seems to be a thing of the past :(

I still use the Xperia XA2 vanilla, the smallest of the series. But also with the least amount of RAM :(

@RandySimons possibly, although most people I know with tablets / laptops (i.e. have other computing devices) still use a mega sized phone. is it coz they prefer the size or the lack of good options for smaller devices? 🤷

Asus #Zenfone series used to have some smaller yet decently specced devices (gen 8/9/10) but for gen 11 they went with Ultra. Maybe there's just no market for small high-end phones.

I had the #XperiaX which is just slightly smaller than the XA2. A delight with #SailfishOS :)

@cybette @RandySimons for me at least it’s going to be a matter of availability. I’m still on my iPhone 13 Mini because Apple hasn’t brought out any new normal form factor phones. Everything is big and getting bigger. The Pro won’t fit in some of my pockets and the size is awkward for use.
