@jab01701mid @rbreich Poverty as a Policy Choice has been used by both Democrats and Republicans. A lack of a living wage has been a problem for 40 years. 66.2% of Americans can't get $500 together for an emergency, they work 2-3 jobs & can't pay rent & buy food for their children. Then they have to "volunteer" to get food stamps. If you are working 6-7 days a week you don't have time to sort through the corporate media sanewashing of Trump.

@rbreich - how about ending corporate income tax, which is easily avoided by the biggest corps via various loopholes, while small and medium businesses still get hit with complicated filings and difficult to meet costs, and replace it with a National Land Value Tax solely on business properties, similar to what Henry George proposed in the 1890's? @rbreich When you post or talk about him, don't assign his actions to him, assign them to "The Republican Administration, or "The Republicans." This will have several effects: the Republican legislators will either have to take responsibility for their association with him or stand up for what some of them don't like; he will not get the focus of attention he craves.

@rbreich How is this calculated? There are so many preferences and exceptions in the corporate tax code (many not deserved) that it would be extremely naive to think that you could just take a corporation's last year profit and assume that 15% would be their cut.

@rbreich The Democratic leadership needs to take a hard look at how they so. totally. screwed this up. I am so angry that Biden and his enablers basically lied to the entire country that he could run again which left Harris in a difficult, maybe impossible, position. But... Why didn't she immediately break from Biden to show that her administration would be different? Instead, she turned to the Cheney's?!!
