It's talk like a pirate day! Here I go:
"I just want to access the media I already own in a portable format that I can watch or listen to in high quality on all my devices without DRM or adverts."
Did I do it right?

Perfect, me matey!
I like to call it 'edge caching'
@LewisWorkshop "I owned that game on a console but one day we had a break in at home and both console and games were stolen, and i just want to play it again because i had good times"
how's this
@LewisWorkshop Perfect!
How about this one:
"all governments should run free and open source software to guaranty transparency, accountability and sovereignty"
As someone currently working on getting a media library setup with legal copies of stuff not on stream services I use (or at all).. trying to get legit 20 year-old out of print DVDs that work is a total disaster.
And of course that doesn’t cover the things that were never even released and are just gone.
@LewisWorkshop “I want to be in control of my hearing aid hardware”
I think I got it
"Avast ye swabs! I just want to access the media I already own in a portable format that I can watch or listen to in high quality on all my devices without DRM or adverts me hearties!"
@LewisWorkshop The caveat is that you don't own it :(
Technically, you're (maybe) renting a right to (maybe) (sometimes) watch it (or its low quality derivative) on some (certified) device (unless this right is revoked for absolutely any reason) (and there might be some additional clauses attached, see "Disney restaurant death").
