This popped into my head the other day and I'm sure someone else has expressed it better, but:

In capitalist #economies, there's a lot of talk about "disruptive #technologies." Automation takes jobs from #artisans, but makes the product cheaper for #consumers, that sort of thing. And in the context of #capitalism, #disruption is usually seen as a net good (whether that's actually true is another story).

#Conservatives have often talked about running the country more like a #business, of voting a big business owner/CEO into office. And #Trump showed that idea was terrible by "disrupting" not business, but #government.

In every possible way, #Trump ran a #disruptive #administration. Attempting to ignore or override checks and balances, having a revolving-door group of "acting" people in positions of power so #Congress never got the chance to vet them, making the #DOJ his own personal law firm, packing the #SCOTUS and then claiming he was #immune from #prosecution, refusing to be voted out (seeing it as a hostile takeover, perhaps?) and even floating trial balloons about suspending the #Constitution and ending the #vote.

In fact, the #Trump #administration reminds me of another so-called #disruptive #technology that is currently working its way into everything, namely #AI:

Making changes no one asked for ✔️
Using public resources to enrich a chosen few ✔️
Using clout to avoid repercussions for #illegal activities that would put others in jail ✔️
#Enshittifying everything it touches ✔️✔️✔️✔️✔️✔️✔️✔️
