OvercastSYNC ISSUE FIXED!
If the new app wasn't syncing or showing your podcast list for you:
Force-quit, relaunch.
You will probably see the initial "Syncing…" screen again, and then you should be OK. Let me know!

@overcastfm after i mark a podcast listened it still remains in the current playlist. i’ve restarted and toggled current v all. i like the new design overall.

Erik J. Barzeski@petersibley @overcastfm Yes, same here. Unless I manually delete a podcast from my smart playlist, it remains. I've quit the app, tried toggling the "delete" setting to "manually" and "when completed" and back to my preferred "24 hours" setting. None are ever deleted unless I do so manually.

kyle@overcastfm I have "Stop after each episode" off but at the end of each episode the app stops and I have to manually start the next episode.

@kylesbeard @overcastfm found a workaround, turn off the “play top episode next” off on the nitpicky details, it will follow the order the playlist had when you pressed play and ignore topmost episodes added to the top during the session.
@nxvl @overcastfm I ended up doing that a few days ago but then I end up still having to go back to the app regularly to see if any priority podcast episodes have shown up in the interim. Saw on reddit that the next update should have a fix for this.

@overcastfm can’t reorder playlists. I do not know if this is any help or not, just replying with the bugs I found.
@overcastfm Hi! In a smart playlist (synced from the old app) my Excluded list and High Priority list are the same, and editing one changes the other. It looks like high priority is working and Excluded is retaining the synced settings, I just can't edit it. Otherwise it looks so good and I love the new Low Priority setting. Thanks!
@overcastfm This is all fixed in the last update but now continuous play doesn't work; stops after each episode (listening from a playlist).
@overcastfm Creating a playlist seems to always have all episodes. The Only Selected or Exclude doesn't stick.
There's some unclear interaction going on between Only Selected and High-Priority too.
Not sure how From, High-Priority, Low-Priority are supposed to interact, but the settings are not sticking. Editing shows what was selected, but the menu says All.
Existing smart playlists seem to work and editing them didn't break or change them.
@overcastfm Overnight bug fix solved the Selected podcasts sticking.
Still not quite sure about the High vs Low vs not in either vs Selected interactions. They definitely do something similar to the old priority setting. Should be able to play with them and find a playlist options that work, possibility even better just different.
However, the "episode limit" per podcast setting seems to not be working. That creates to much noise to really play with the other settings.
Likewise, the Downloaded list shows stuff that should have been deleted. Without the Storage settings menu, hard to tell if they're still download or not or if they've been deleted.
It'll get there, feels like it'll be a bumpy few weeks.

@overcastfm I understand it takes time for the App to populate through to all the App Stires around the world. I have not gotten the update yet. Will it drop into my automatic updates section on the App Store?

Chris Meister@overcastfm Great update. Deleting downloads after being played does not appear to be working and it sets all your podcasts to auto download including ones you dont follow
transponster@overcastfm Any possibility we could get streaming playback back? I don’t listen to podcasts with dynamic ad injection and downloading playback’s expensive is much inferior.
@overcastfm Not downloading anything for me today. Woke up to “too many failures” and download circles that fill up and then nothing happens.

John Kelly@overcastfm you're probably swamped with bug reports but just before this toot, I deleted my sync profile and recreated it because that was my go-to fix for any problems in Overcast. But it's gotten rid of my legacy premium account. Not sure if this is a known issue!

@johnke Did your issue get sorted out. I haven't heard back from the developer and I'm inclined to think that he has no intention of helping out. Sigh! For now, I have moved on to Apple Podcasts. It has its quirks, but at least I don't see banner ads.
@overcastfm Hi! Just wanted to report a glitch (hadn’t seen anyone else do it)
Basically if you add an episode of a podcast that you’re not subscribed to, it seems to totally muck up the order of the queue. Happy to go into more detail if that’s not clear ahaha.

@overcastfm oh also (again apologises if this has already been reported) but I think that delete after 24 hours may not be working, podcasts just seem to stick around…
