@overcastfm The Daily is changing their podcast options with most podcast back issues behind a paywall. To subscribe to continue access to back episodes you have to subscribe I. Apple Podcasts or Spotify. Not a road I’m taking. Will Overcast work with this?
Will The Daily change their feed to hear the latest episodes which they say will still stay free? I hope I can keep listening to the free most recent episodes on Overcast

This is my favorite podcast and has been since the first time I heard an episode.The podcast was suggested to me in the Relay Discord when I first became a member.

I have you guys as number one priority podcast in Overcast and get excited when I see the new episode drop. I really appreciate the work you do and I love the fun too!

Connected and Coretex round out the runners-up.

#askatp is Marco friends with the creators of Pocketcasts, Castro or other 3rd party podcast app creators? Do you all communicate with each other every once in a while to talk podcasting trends or other nerdy app stuff? I accept they are competitors but is it a friendly competition?

@overcastfm ive listened to both ATP and under the radar podcasts and I think you for the diligent work. You mentioned about continuous play not working for others and not your self. I am still having that problem.

All playlists that OVERCAST creates do not continuously play after the end of the bottom podcast.

My playlists do work for both options of start at the top of the list when bottom podcast ends.

@overcastfm I deleted and redownloaded the Overcsst app and watched the Syncing bar. That seems to have fixed the banner and current list of active podcasts with episodes available.

Ok. My nitpick is the playlists themselves show should some indication if a new episode is in that playlist. I liked that the playlist color greyed out when there were no episodes. Good simple indicator.

@overcastfm I have encountered a few issues

1. The banner on the app shows seven episodes but I have none. I’ve refreshed with the server twice.

2. In the current podcast filter it shows the three podcasts that I used to download episodes then delete as a test but they shouldn’t be there

3. The playlist icons used to turn grey when they were out of episodes. Now I have to check each playlist separately to look for new episodes or use all episodes playlist which also doesn’t turn grey.

Yes, there is some new muscle memory needed but I don’t often change settings so it’s a non-issue for me.

I like the layout, the playlist addition down to episode selection option along with high priority. ATP must go first every time a new episode drops.

Marco, your hard work over the last 18 months has been time well spent and I appreciate the effort. I’m glad you’re staying with Overcast.

@overcastfm holy heck Overcast is faster now! It needs a 6th gear in the gearshift.

Thoughts
1. The app startup speed is significantly faster. My thumb is barely off the app icon after starting Overcast and it’s ready to go

2. The added Starred playlist is something I’ve wanted for a long time. It beats making my own playlist.

3. The current downloaded podcast episodes at top of main page is easily navigated and looks fantastic!

4. Did I mention the speed of operations of Overcast?

SYNC ISSUE FIXED!

If the new app wasn't syncing or showing your podcast list for you:

Force-quit, relaunch.

You will probably see the initial "Syncing…" screen again, and then you should be OK. Let me know!
