Movie #20: Big Trouble in Little China
If I know anything about doing these reviews, giving an 80s movie an "okay" score is going to go over poorly 😛
Movie #33: Challengers
Honestly great weekend for movies for me.
Movie #39: The Last Stop in Yuma County
Regular reminder that the reviews in this thread are created with https://quickreviews.app
Movie #40: Madame Web
Reminder that I don’t believe in “I know it’s a bad movie but…”
I had fun, but I totally see why if it doesn’t click, you’re gonna hate it.
Movie #55: In a Violent Nature

Movie #59: Twisters
Packed theater, too and they seemed into it.
Movie #60: Aliens
Let’s get myself into some trouble…
Movie #61: Alien³
Woof.
@matt Love this podcast - here’s an episode from it sharing the other perspective as to why people do love it
@duncandesi9n ha, I didn’t know that! It does make sense though, I know this was his first feature so he was still figuring it all out, but it felt nothing like anything else he’s done (and not in a good way).
If I didn’t know Fincher directed this I never would have guessed it was him.
@tchaten @ChrisLawley I mean the non-special edition is supposed to be the one people love already 😬
TBH unless they change the concept of the story, I don’t know if more context will move the needle much for me, but I remain hopeful.
@tchaten @ChrisLawley Honestly, I'm looking at all the streaming services and storefronts and no one has the extended cut available...I'd have to order a physical disc to watch the extended version. Oof.
Well, consider my review of the theatrical cut only
@matt you’re 100% on the money. It’s a fun film, but it never reaches nearly the same highs as the first film.
I’ll go a step further: Prometheus is better than Aliens.
