These are the type of statues we should be putting up. Danuta Danielsson hitting a neo Nazi (1985).
@Miriamm I'd def chip in toward a statue of the lass who launched the milkshake at Farage.
@bytebro me too. We should start a go fund me
@Miriamm Hah! I totally have no idea how to make a thing go viral, but if it starts, I'm in πŸ™‚
@Miriamm @bytebro You can subscribe to her onlyfans. The modern day equivalent of erecting a statue. πŸ™‚ That way you know the money is going directly to her. She is also on Instagram.

@bytebro @Miriamm

Me too but I think a legal defense fund might be a more pressing need.

@Miriamm I want one of the punch.
@Miriamm Unfortunate that the sculptor didn't fully capture the rage in her face as shown in the photograph.

@alan @Miriamm

Women must always be attractive, and angry face isn't attractive. (?)

Personally, I think fighting fascists is hella attractive, but I'm weird or something.

@ginnikin @Miriamm Women must always have their power diminished, attractive or not. Even when we're honouring their power.

Sigh.

@alan @Miriamm

I hate how accurate this is.

@Miriamm
The man hit by Danuta Danielsson was identified as Seppo Seluska, a militant from the Nordic Realm Party later convicted for the torture and murder of a gay Jew
@Miriamm It's a bit of sad one as she regretted the event and ended up killing herself.
@PickPoppies @Miriamm The whole thing is just endlessly sad when you read up on it:( She had a tough life:(
@Miriamm I love it but I'm also gonna ding the artist. Her pose in the photo is much more dynamic. She's knocking the fuck out of that nazi piece of shit where the statue looks like a weaker hit and makes the nazi taller.

@obscurestar @Miriamm

Not sure how it makes the nazi taller? The nazi isn't in the statue

@adamsaidsomething @Miriamm In the photo she is crouched more (full in that swing) and her purse is lower as it collides with the empty cranial vault. The nazi being hit by the statue is a good 10-15cm taller. (assuming the statue is 1:1 scale) The photo is just a lot more dynamic.

@obscurestar @Miriamm

Ok I can see now she's crouched more in the photo but it seems to me her purse is actually higher relative to her body, but your probably better then me at judging the overall height

@adamsaidsomething @Miriamm Ya. it's a nit. I just really like al the dynamic action lines in her clothes and her face in the photo and the statue is... A statue. Likely because the sculptor was working from a posed model so they could represent the faces we cannot see from the camera's perspective, but in doing so, they lost the action. (which to be fair is hard in a drawing, and I imagine much more challenging in bronze)

@Miriamm not all heroes wear handbags.

@Miriamm you can get (and paint) your own small lead/tin soldier figure of her

(I built her with popcorn in case she gets hungry)

@Miriamm Damn straight 😀 G'wan the woman.
@Miriamm Can we get this in milkshake and shoe formats across the EU?

@Miriamm

Everyone likes a good nazi-bashing. And she looks awesome... all pissed off, like, ''The hell you say..."😑 She knew it was gonna hurt. 🀣🀣

Show kids from the time they can walk, ninja-purse moves, and other examples of how people can, and have stood up to or defended themselves against bullies and oppressive, shitty behavior. Nazi or otherwise.

Old dudes on horses were never much of a mystery or too interesting.

@Miriamm What a badass! I support this statue in EVERY city on earth!

@Miriamm cool. i wanted to learn more about this photo and statue so heres a link if anyone else is curious:

@Miriamm interesting context in the Wikipedia article. She was only 38 on that photo, and died 3 years later. Guy being hit was indeed an absolute scumbag.

@Miriamm Inspired by Mamma Togni
@Miriamm Just trying to smack some sense into that boy! We need more like her in the world right now.

J’adore : on rend enfin hommage au courage des femmes Β« ordinaires Β».

@Miriamm The photo is of course famous, but I had no idea there was a statue of it. Looking it up on Wikipedia, iut appears that it has been controversial because it's "promoting violence", which I find somewhat backwards (paradox of tolerance?). Apparently this one is a copy of the original statue that was rejected, and can be found in AlingsΓ₯s.
