I have delivered training classes to federal employees.

Often the class would have some swag to go along with it, perhaps a nice binder with our company logo or a coffee mug.

Federal employees would refuse those gifts, I guess we should have sent them all to a resort for a week and that would be cool.

AND, after he LIED about WHY it was being flown: He said it was to protest the neighbor's offensive sign, which was posted near a school bus stop. Think of the children!!!

Only one teensy problem - schools in Alexandria (where he lives) and indeed all of Fairfax County VA were in session REMOTELY because of COVID. So there were no children at the bus stop, and there had been no children at the bus stop FOR MONTHS.

The rise of the Third Reich was enabled by hyper partisan right wing judges from the days of the monarchy who openly let right wing criminals off the hook while giving socialists the death penalty.

But Trump understood the weakness of such systems. He showed us that our fabled "government of laws" and "checks and balances" was ultimately still based on the "honor" system.

He proved how easily that can be exploited, simply by not having any.
