The attempt to reframe this conflict — one that almost none of you have a part in nor an understanding of — as some unique tragedy among tragedies is not some innocent misunderstanding. It's a racist lie that is going mainstream, and without getting into the purpose of the lie, the net effect is casual violence towards Jews becoming acceptable in ways that are in direct contradiction to every antiracist movement, especially those of the last few years, like BLM.

I presume you have some magical means of conducting warfare in urban settings? Bullets that only hurt the bad guys? Palestine has had exactly one way to avoid warfare since October 7th, and that is the release of all hostages and the surrender of Hamas. I pity the people in Gaza who voted Hamas into power (well, partially, given that Hamas murdered their Fatah counterparts in a coup right afterwards). The Gazans do not have a choice in this war, but it is not because of Israel.

But in any case, I'm not gaslighting. And I'm not going anywhere — unfortunately, much like your racism.

And if the “political” term isn’t enough to stifle ANY discussion, then the Big Gun term of “antisemitism” is called up. Then if those 2 terms are not together successfully squashing any discussion, the “anti-Zionist” term is pulled out. And it continues on. I would think it a really bad time to be in America, Jewish and opposed to genocide.

@snijsure @caseynewton @zoeschiffer And I hope people will think about the permanent devastation and environmental damage to these lands. Animals, plants, history, all permanently destroyed. The numbers of deaths are far fewer than the numbers of people that survive so far but are injured/disable/damaged. If anyone decides to loose nuclear bombs and munitions it’s all no-man’s land for eternity. A lot to think about.

You already admitted you stand with a country that murdered 15000 children, prevents food from coming in, destroys infrastructure like libraries and archives, whined that it didn't get one shipment of bombs after bombing the one area where all the refugees are, oh and it's the only other country in the UN that agrees with the US embargo on Cuba.
How you cope with the fact that the death toll is around 1 Israeli for every 35 Palestinians, is subhuman.
