Antisemites made up a lie about a genocide being committed by Jews against Palestinians. This lie is a few decades old, but since the current war it has been spread by many people, some of them antisemites, some of them are just naive useful idiots.

This lie is now being used by antisemites to reject everything and everyone that has to do with Israel – from calling Biden „Genocide Joe“ to calling Martin Österdahl from the EBU „Genocidahl“ for not excluding Israel from the ESC.

This lie is being used by antisemites to wash their hands off antisemitism. „Greta Thunberg is not antisemitic – she’s against genocide.“

Well, my friends, there is no genocide, and this lie being used as an excuse to hate Jews is in no way different than any other conspiracy story that was used to spread hatred against Jews – from well poisoning to the stab-in-the-back myth. The genocide story is simply the blood-libel of modern times.

Calling Jewish people “Europeans” is the biggest anti-semitic dog whistle I’ve ever heard.

Europeans spent the past 2,000 years trying to purge us from Europe. And now that most of us left Europe, we’re suddenly “European”.

Nope, you don’t get to erase history.
