When social justice protests swept the country in 2020, tech companies mostly welcomed employee activism. The Gaza demonstrations are getting a much different reception. @zoeschiffer talked to folks at Apple, Google Amazon, and Coinbase about it: https://www.platformer.news/tech-protests-gaza-israel-workplace-activism/
How the tech industry soured on employee activism

@caseynewton @zoeschiffer Yes because BLM was about confronting our inner racism, and the Gaza protests are not innocent fights against racism, they are themselves racist agitations that call for systemic violence against millions of Israelis and have few qualms about Jew hatred.

You are platforming hatred by drawing a false equivalence.

@ChemicalTribe @caseynewton @zoeschiffer No, not really. I'm dead serious. All wars supply tragedies. The attempt to reframe this conflict — one that almost none of you have a part in nor an understanding of — as some unique tragedy among tragedies is not some innocent misunderstanding. It's a racist lie that is going mainstream, and without getting into the purpose of the lie, the net effect is casual violence towards Jews becoming acceptable in ways that are in direct contradiction to every antiracist movement, especially those of the last few years, like BLM.
@idan
That's a strawman - protesting the wholesale destruction of Palestine is not based on antisemitism.
Go gaslight elsewhere bro.
@caseynewton @zoeschiffer

@ChemicalTribe @caseynewton @zoeschiffer The wholesale destruction of Palestine because Hamas has elected to turn it into a battlefield?

I presume you have some magical means of conducting warfare in urban settings? Bullets that only hurt the bad guys? Palestine has had exactly one way to avoid warfare since October 7th, and that is the release of all hostages and the surrender of Hamas. I pity the people in Gaza who voted Hamas into power (well, partially, given that Hamas murdered their Fatah counterparts in a coup right afterwards). The Gazans do not have a choice in this war, but it is not because of Israel.

But in any case, I'm not gaslighting. And I'm not going anywhere — unfortunately, much like your racism.

@idan
Oh sure, because as everyone knows, the only way to take care of a bad tenant in an apartment complex, is to take a bomb and destroy the entire building, even if other people are still inside!
Yes, you are gaslighting, along with a side of projection, and your are also a complete piece of trash. You confuse antisemitism with anti zionism and everything else you said was complete bullshit.
@caseynewton @zoeschiffer

@ChemicalTribe @caseynewton @zoeschiffer It's funny you mention that, because I haven't seen any other western nation afford said targets the benefit of leaflets, direct SMS, "roof knock" munitions with a warning to evacuate, or any number of the things that Israel does to minimize (not eliminate) civilian harms.

Facts are inconvenient, racist.
