The result is that I have written another blog post that has me going against the current.

@Teri_Kanefield thanks the article is great. I keep hoping for a solution. How do we get good discussion and bring different views to the table? Are strong arm moderators with a team of real-time fact checker the answer? In Canada we’ve devolved to elected members who blindly follow the party line even when it negatively impacts their constituents. The leader and the party are sacrosanct.

I wanted to leave a comment on your post, but article was so detailed and depressing, I was lost for words by the end of it. I think "Burn it all down" would have covered it, but not been appreciated by you :)

Nothing personal to you - just anything to do with the media and the GOP tends to make me feel that way, and Ronna is just such a horrible, dishonest person.

@Teri_Kanefield If this was in response to your Ronna McD blog, it does seem a bit off balance (the reply, not the blog). I just finished reading the blog and, as usual, it was clear, concise, and didn't inflame me. I don't watch cable news, so this topic is always interesting to me. Thanks for clearing up a lot of what I missed.

Seriously though, your points about the power struggle between the network execs and the stars were enlightening.

I guess that's why it's such a huge deal when a network fires one of their stars: Think Fox and Tucker or Bill or Glenn.

It gets back to what you said before that talking about the news isn't news. It's entertainment.
