Sometimes I wonder if there should be an equivalent of the "Inverse Cramer Index" but for Forbes…
@sheogorath @leyrer Upper left: Elizabeth Holmes, founder of Theranos. Forbes said she was the youngest self-made female billionaire, but it was all fraud.
Upper right: Sam Bankman-Fried, founder of the cryptocurrency exchange FTX. It collapsed in late 2022 as a result of rampant fraud.
Lower left: Adam Neumann, founder of WeWork. Still believed to be a billionaire, though WeWork is collapsing as a result of—you guessed it!—fraud. Also impressive levels of mismanagement.
Lower right: Silicon Valley Bank celebrating Forbes naming them one of the best banks. On March 10th of 2023, they became the second biggest bank failure in history. This kicked off a wave of bank failures which later included a bigger bank, pushing SVB’s failure to third-largest.
@leyrer @sheogorath @bob_zim IOW, clockwise from top left:
1.) Bitch that dupped people that should have been competent enough to know that a Radio Shack doorbell homebrew kit can in no way type, let alone diagnose blood disease.
2.) Tweaker that orgied his way to prominence by stuffing the pockets of politicians until the owner of Binance said, "WTF?" - the Emporer has no fricken' clothes, bitches!!!!
3.) Name one, any one bank - the fraud of "Fractional reserve" regulated banking is the criminally responsible vehicle - the regulatory bodies are the one's aiding and abetting via legislation, while your money is somewhere else than where you were told it was, if it still is.
If you want proof, or even wanna know how this fraud is exposed by average schmoes like you and me, then just google the term, "monerun" - a classic example of what banks (and CEX's) do when the cards in their hand are revealed.
4.) I have no idea who this dufus is... prolly, and almost assuredly, he's a dotcom biotch.

@leyrer There's an anecdotal story to this that made headlines a few years ago about Forbes having unpaid 'Contributors' (~1500 of them) and something about these unpaid contributors doing shady sponsored content:
(it wasn't just Forbes but I think it was the peak of the fluff content era)

Magomed Musaev, the owner of Russian Forbes, claims to have purchased the entire #Forbes Media Group, reports The Washington Post, referencing five audio and one video recording of the businessman talking about the deal during private conversations with his business partners. “You understand when you have in your hands the key to the most authoritative global brand, this key will give me access to anyone.” https://www.washingtonpost.com/business/2023/10/20/forbes-sale-musaev-russia/ #Ukraine #Russia #US
