I just installed Asahi Linux on an M2 Pro macbook and the experience is pretty amazing. I had to fiddle a bit to get HDMI out working, but everything else I've tried just works so well out of the box. Super impressive work from all involved <3

Does anyone know why only Asus laptops with the new AMD Strix Point APUs have been released? Are other manufacturers simply dragging their feet to offload old stock, or did Asus get some kind of timed exclusive deal?

I've been trying out a bunch of new laptops lately, and it's just awesome how well Linux just runs out of the box on them. No tweaking, no custom kernels or drivers, just plain old Debian stable. Such a nice thing to be able to set up a machine in about an hour and just have everything working.
Josh TriplettSome wonderful news: as of today, rustup is packaged in Debian, which makes it much easier to install. Rather than using curl and running a script that wants to ask interactive questions (or passing several command-line options), you can `apt install rustup` and `rustup install stable` and you're done.
