There's this myth that automated spam detection is hard because spammers are all very clever masters of disguise.

No. Spammers are stupid as a shoe. They have dog shit for brains.

Automated spam detection is hard because the line between spam and "legitimate" marketing activity is a fiction.

We ousted Brendan Eich. Let's oust these shitheads.
theoretically, im coyot
to put a bit of nuance into it, openbsd operates under a "number goes up when something changes" model, but they also have a very regimented/ritualized release procedure — and that is the thing "number-go-up versioning" misses. increasing the version number is meant to have a certain amount of gravitas to it

we once said something like this and the response was something like "who cares about this so long as the number goes up when something changes" and we just kinda sit there and fume a bit

me: my childhood was relatively normal, I mean it was weird Christian cult shit at times but it was mostly normal

also me: wait y'all don't know that half the Christians in the US think that nuking the middle east is an important first step in bringing about their desired apocalypse where Jesus will send all the people they hate to hell forever??? Y'all don't know they're serious about that? Huh

I personally consider "I asked ChatGPT to generate a response to you" not witty but a form of an insult. Don't do that please. If that is how you want to talk to people at least don't tell me. It's offensive.
i just think it's funny that people despised when Microsoft did this in the 90s with internet explorer but now that Google is doing it it's Firefox that's "lagging behind on standards"

i just don't think that web browsers should be the same program you access USB ports with or write local programs in

this has been a message against Google's lobbying for "web standards" that have actively made software worse in the past decade
