Fritz Lang's science fiction masterpiece, METROPOLIS (1927) is set in the year 2026. It depicts the disparity between the super rich elite and the burdened working class and the ways the rich will do just about anything to keep the poor poor and enslaved.
I just learned that #author Dan Simmons recently died. May he rest in peace.
He wrote, among other books, the #scifi masterpiece, #Hyperion.
