The US government assassinated or imprisoned every leader of the Black Panther party for [checks notes] giving out free breakfasts but these wannabe Nazi terrorists actively prepare for American genocide in plain sight, with no consequences. https://forward.com/news/556914/maine-neo-nazi-christopher-pohlhaus/ [update: replaced the original news link because of data security challenges]
A neo-Nazi is building a compound in rural Maine for his ‘Blood Tribe’

A prominent neo-Nazi, Christopher Pohlhaus, has bought land in Maine, the whitest state in the nation, as a retreat for his 'Blood Tribe.'

The Forward
@aram land of the "free gun with every purchase," home of the "bravery required to feed the poor."
@aram And this is proof that American democracy is dying and we need a regime change.
@aram So I believe in gun control and always vote to promote limits on gun access. Unfortunately, this is why you still need to exercise your second amendment rights that you have. These *literal* Nazis sure ain’t gonna respect the rule of law, I wouldn’t expect the police to help, they’ll only intervene after a crime has been committed. That’s if they’re not members of said group. Stay non-violent as long as you can, but be prepared for direct action.

@aram the yardstick I use to measure racism in this country is how much white supremacists and LITERAL NAZIS get away with while POC get killed daily for things like selling cigarettes, or carrying a sandwich, or walking down stairs, or being in their own apartment.

Racism in this country is absolutely staggering; it’s the country I’d probably choose to operate in if I were a shithead Nazi.

@aram So we know which one the current powers that be in the US government finds more dangerous...
@aram The town of Jamel came to America .. in Manie? G*ddamn each & everyone of them. #Germany #USA
@aram This is really scary. There are no boundaries for hate and misinformation.
@aram the law enforcement people who lean back and watch this happen should be held accountable
@aram Call outs in order.. find out who these folk are.. but More, find out who is Funding this all

@aram

the us is losing all its "legality" credibility in the whole world, because one way or another those people have not been jailed/assassinated/executed with plausible denial like they did with the black panthers and many others ...

so from a position of view of the us as a western baluard of legitimacy, now the us on world scale is perceived as a baluard of neo Nazi neofascist neo kluk klus Klan neo kkkristians Inquisition talebanate ...

@aram the FBI write up warning nazism in policing and govt was the largest threat, it was a big Troll. They trolled us.
@aram I love that someone set up a Telegram community mocking them, named close to what their actual Telegram community is.
@aram I see an opportunity drones here. The Ukrainians have done some very inventive things with drones
@aram I see much in common between Lenininsts and the Nazis. They'd send the opposition to prison or assassinate them. So the US government decided there's no free speech for the baddies. So those Bloodstrain nazis should also get the same treatment. Or they could become dangerous!
@aram because America is a fascist project and cops are its volunteer enforcers
@aram Heads up: just unboosted this because I’m getting an automatic download trigger whenever I visit the link in the post. Likely malware.

@aral @aram

I don't know how you managed that result on your mobile device, but with Firefox and several security extensions on a desktop system I get no such result. Allowing JavaScript from just the primary wgme.com domain and a couple other previously trusted domains, The text and header image of the article renders and is fully readable.

WGME appears to be a Maine OTA TV station, and the article originated from the Bangor Daily News:

Known neo-Nazi building training ground in Springfield

Former U.S. Marine Christopher Pohlhaus began last year inviting white men drawn to his violent, neo-fascist ideology to come to Maine.

@VulcanTourist @aram I haven’t looked into it in depth but it’s very possible that it’s malware being served by an ad script on the page.

(I managed the result by visiting the page in mobile Safari on an iPhone.)

@aral @aram

Situations like that are precisely why I'm so aggressive in blocking JS from all but the most crucial domains for the content at hand. It's a lot of work, but necessary. I try to duplicate that on my Android phone with mobile Firefox and the same or similar extensions, but have only partially succeeded. I've got years of custom rules and filters that need to be mirrored between both in near realtime, and I haven't done that yet.

The original BDN article is likely safer.

@aram

Yet again it's the Paradox of Tolerance in action, and what we need is a fully Defensive Democracy to counter this. No tolerance for the demonstrably intolerant.

@aram Time to pay these people a visit with a machinegun.
@aram So we criminalize doing good and legalize preaching violence.... wtf is wrong with us
