If he's really neurodivergent, I'm giving him the same latitude that I hope others would give me. He's a sysadmin, so he's not a child in the chronologic sense. He does seem to behave childlike, but that is curable.
When I implied that I wanted more engagement here, this IS NOT what I had in mind. Outright cruelty like this ruins an entire week for me.
I've gotten such replies more often from neurodivergent people than anyone else. That's especially hurtful.
My wife is the same way! I bug her about it quite a lot, especially since the medication she has to take is more toxic than mine.
So what does she do? She drinks coffee! *smh*
With roughly comparable numbers of Followers and Followed, I had more engagement when I last used Twitter actively than I do here. I feel more unseen here.
It's like people here are creating deliberate personal walled gardens with their Followers and settings and choices who to Follow in turn, and then neither see nor engage with anything outside that bubble.
One of the simplest things that any citizen in the developed world can do to keep the gears of society meshing smoothly is to check for a shopping cart in the parking lot to take into the store with them when they arrive. No one ever does, neither Republican nor Democrat.
I take up to six. The store employees re-tasked with hunting them down are aghast when I do it (I was once one of those employees briefly).
