What is your RSS reader? #news #rss

@losmyke
On my phone I use ttrss-reader from f-droid, on my computer I use newsboat (terminal reader), and I self-host ttrss with yunohost.

It's been really smooth for me!

@losmyke Reeder 5 on iOS ans iPadOS, NetNewsWire on macOS !
@losmyke newsboat
No nonsense TUI application that is easily configurable. Synced to different devices via git.
@losmyke I have been using NewsBlur for years. It fetches updates in “real-time” without needing to refresh.
@losmyke Feedbin on the web for Desktop, Reeder on iOS for mobile. Reeder can use Feedbin as its source, so everything is always synced.
@losmyke Feedbin on the web, Unread on iOS.
@losmyke newsblur in the browser on desktop, syncing via readkit on ios/ipad
@losmyke Feedbin on desktop to manage and view feeds. Reeder on iOS.
@losmyke Self-hosting miniflux on a Raspberry Pi and primarily read from it with Reeder on Mac and iOS via its Google Reader API integration.
@losmyke I use @rizzi‘s Reeder — it’s excellent! I wish it supported #IndieWeb’s microsub tho!

@losmyke That’s Reeder (iOS, iPadOS & macOS), with Feedly as backend.

Love the reading experience in this beautifully crafted App!

@losmyke Reeder with feedbin
@losmyke Inoreader combined with Fiery Feeds on iOS.

@losmyke Currently testing out Readwise.io and it's new Reader. It's still in beta (the feed reader part, specifically) but I'm liking it so far. Pretty easy to get started, ingests just about anything I've thrown at it, and I'm finding there's *lots* of power user features just below the surface.

A reader needs to tie into my #digitalGarden workflow, and that's where Readwise really excels. I can make notes, take highlights, then export that metadata as Markdown with custom Jinja templates 🤯

@losmyke I love CommaFeed. It’s nice on my eyes. Also they got a new server recently and it’s super fast!
@losmyke @brentsimmons #NetNewsWire on all devices with a self-hosted instance of #FreshRSS
@losmyke Unread has the best text processing compared to Reeder and NNW. The images show the same page. Reeder only shows page 1 but has a link. NNW has no idea what’s happening. Unread grabs page 2 and joins it seamlessly.
@losmyke NetNewsWire using FreshRSS for sync
@losmyke Netnewswire. Enjoyed Vienna for years before this.
@losmyke @brentsimmons Selfhosted Miniflux together with NetNewsWire as client.
@losmyke @brentsimmons Reeder everywhere. Using iCloud to sync feeds.
@losmyke Reeder on mobile and computer.
