Me in pagespeed.web.dev (the AI got mad and said I was being unreasonable)

Tonight’s movie was Tron: Ares. Can’t really understand all the hate (yeah, I know, Leto is not the most liked person around, story arc was changed, Sam&Quorra were left out, blah blah). Is it a direct sequel to Legacy? No. So what? Still a solid 8 🤷🏼‍♂️☺️

The only negative is that with the box office performance, I have a feeling we’ll have to wait a loooong time for a fourth Tron, if it’ll ever be made.

The 'Stranger Things' finale made a killing in movie theaters. Which is hardly surprising since they should have been leveraging such distribution for *years*. And now Netflix presumably will be with all sorts of content going forward... https://spyglass.org/stranger-things-box-office-netflix/
Stranger Things Have Happened Than Netflix's Box Office Success

'Stranger Things' makes a killing in movie theaters, duh...

A (controversial?) deep dive into Liquid Glass. A whole new iPadOS.

My iOS and iPadOS 26 review is here.

Enjoy ☕️

Feeling stuck? Try breaking your overwhelmingly big tasks into an overwhelming number of smaller tasks.
No. I don’t ever want to jump on a call. Ever. In my experience, Extroverts (usually unintentionally) take advantage of Introverts on the phone. I find the playing field to be level when everyone has to type.

The more time I spend with Liquid Glass, the more I don't understand Alan Dye's and the design team's obsession with minimizing UI chrome and "prioritizing content" instead.

With collapsed tab bars in iOS 26, it now takes me two taps to switch between Library and Music.

Is that…better? The animations are gorgeous, sure. But does it actually *work* better? 🤔

Back when Apple changed Mac OS X drastically, Steve would come on stage and demo + explain why it was better for the user.

These days, they just talk about how gorgeous their new design is.

They never talk about how this new design benefits me other than “it is consistent across all platforms now.” But it can be consistently good or consistently bad across all platforms depending on how good the new UX is.

Steve Jobs talking about Computer Centric vs User Centric design:

Remember when Steve Jobs said the computer should be “user centric” and not “computer centric”?

Well seems like the computer is now “Apple Design Folks Centric” or “Vibes Centric” because it works in a way that is harmonious to their eyes.

These updates for Spotlight are great but they need to make Spotlight fast again. Like, instant fast.
