I was a guest on Corridor's "VFX Artists React" YouTube series. I hope you like it. I'm not at all terrified of what y'all think of it.

I wrote about my experiences here, and have been adding show notes:

Todd Vaziri on Corridor Crew "VFX Artists React", Parts 1 and 2

watch Part 1 on YouTube It finally happened. I was thrilled to be a guest on Corridor Crew’s “VFX Artists React” YouTube series. Watch Part ...

@tvaziri @CStamp just watched this last night! Great ep!
@tvaziri I caught it and it was great!
@tvaziri It was excellent Todd! Your love of the vfx craft and movies in general came across loud and clear.
@tvaziri it was great, really glad I had access to the extended cut too, fascinating stuff.

@tvaziri Wow! That’s awesome! I was hoping you would join them at one point!

Will check it out as soon as I’m of my data diet (traveling for a few weeks without WiFi).

@tvaziri Great insights, I and surely many other just film lovers weren't aware of. Please continue to enlighten us. Big THX!
@tvaziri Congrats! It was a fun, informative session and I'm looking forward to the next one. Thank you for all of your efforts sharing the amazing work and craftsmanship of you and your colleagues.
@tvaziri I watched a yesterday. Really enjoyed it.
@caleb aww that’s nice to hear, Caleb. Thank you!!

@tvaziri I love this so much. 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 Big thanks for bringing all these treats to the show.

("Synthetic" is now part of my lexicon too.)

@tvaziri what a great video! 🤩 It was insightful to hear you talk through all the nitty-gritty details that a lot of us miss! Thanks (and hopefully you do more!)
@tvaziri One of the best episodes, you were great!
@tvaziri great socks! And a great video too...
@tvaziri loved you on it! And those guys are great!
@tvaziri loved the episode. Started watching and thought it was you. Loved how you talked a bit about the culture of ILM. From stories I’ve heard, that’s something that many companies could learn from
@tvaziri It was great. Even my girlfriend, who is not a movie/behind-the-scenes nerd, throughly enjoyed it and the way you spoke about the craft behind your (and your colleagues’) work. More please!
@tvaziri after watching this I also saw that you worked on the new D&D-movie and have to say I simply love the effect when the illusion of Edgin breaks down. Don’t know if you had anything to do with it, but as a tech-artist, having broken quite a few character rigs myself, I found it so perfect.
@PKB our friends in ILM Sydney did an amazing job on that sequence. It took a lot of experimentation to do something that was funny and not grotesque.

@PKB If you're so inclined:

I was the compositing supervisor for Industrial Light & Magic's work on "Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves". The overall visual effect...

@tvaziri Such a great episode! You should do more! 😄
@tvaziri that was a cool episode. Thanks for doing it, and for the epic lava fights! 😁
@tvaziri Loved it! How did you create those plate buildup shots (Anakin's body smoking)? Were they created during the initial production of the movies? Or did you somehow uncover the original source material and re-create the composite from those?

@leonzandman I created those breakdowns just after I finalled the shots back then in 2005.

It’s generally best to try and create the breakdowns as soon as possible after final because getting all that stuff restored is a huge pain.

@tvaziri Ah, cool. Thanks. And “breakdowns” was the word I was looking for 😅
@tvaziri Got it!

@leonzandman 👍🏽

You won’t be disappointed.

@leonzandman @tvaziri

Sorry. I’m sorry. I’m trying to delete it.

@tvaziri I have to watch this. I've been reluctant to watch this, especially with so many bad VFX takes, google sometimes bad recommendations and the current state of YT channels. Guess I need to bookmark it now
@malducin Manuel I made this video for you
