The 1991 #TeenageMutantNinjaTurtles-movie is awesome.
Terminator (1984) is the most cyberpunk-looking movie ever made.
I love the parts at the beginning of genre stories before the mysterious wizard shows up or the spaceship picks up a distress call, that just describes normal everyday life in the world.
The fantasy that influenced me the most as a kid was:
- The He-man ads in a Swedish toy store’s Christmas catalogue circa 1982
- CS Lewis’ Narnia
- Jrr Tolkien (and Inger Edelfeld’s cover art for the Swedish editions
- David Eddings
