Today marks my sixth anniversary of giving-up alcohol.

Alcohol was killing me, ruining my life, and destroying relationships. I existed solely for my next drink.

The six years since my last drink have seen personal growth, improved health, and contentment. Giving-up was the hardest thing I’ve ever done but also the best.

If you have an addiction, be a hero and ASK FOR HELP!

@tobestewart Very familiar story. Well done brother. Your next 6 will be even better.
@tobestewart I should add, I love your advice. For those who’ve considered quitting, asking for help accomplishes 2 things. First, it signifies a personal contract (with yourself), and second, it lays the foundation for a period in which you may need some external fortitude. Crucially, be honest(and kind) with that person, and be honest (and kind) with yourself.
@tobestewart Well done!! πŸ™ŒπŸ»

@tobestewart Excellent work, and great support from your parents too!
@tobestewart Congratulations! More power to you! πŸ₯³πŸ‘
@tobestewart Congratulations and well done. You have my admiration and sincere best wishes. I've had my own battles & can say with near certainty that my historical abuse of alcohol has shortened my own life, hospitalising me in crippling agony & causing a precancerous oesophageal condition called Barrett's to develop. The only person to blame is me. I only rarely drink nowadays, with extreme caution. Alcohol is so dangerous yet it's still glorified, promoted & normalised on TV & in the movies.
@tobestewart happy birthday! ODAT. Thank you for your sobriety.
@tobestewart You are awesome. Congrats!!
@tobestewart Huge Congratulations, that's such an incredible achievement!j
@tobestewart Hell yeah! Happy Sobriety birthday! I’m happy for you and proud of you!
