@InfoMgmtExec Tidal and wave energy are not simple (not least in terms of their effect on the ocean and the complexity of maintaining them). The ocean isn’t just “empty” space - it’s an engine doing things that benefit us. We can’t “just” fill it with things without consequences. So for most places, tidal & wave energy aren’t the best options.

Wow! I don't know whether to categorize your response as simply wrong or totally devoid of #facts - #evidence. Your argument is akin to that of accusing #Wind & #Solar as being damaging to the Atmosphere and the Sun, much less hard to build and maintain. There are ONLY three sources of #RenewableEnergy available which do not make the #atmospheric CO2 - #environmental catastrophes that we have far worse. @InfoMgmtExec @helenczerski Nukes are at least as bad as CO2 fuels. Agreed. That's not really the topic of Czerski's point, though, is it? She's talking about renewables, as are you. Given how little nukes contribute (and at what cost over their lifetime!), and given UK tides, of course one could make good use of tidal energy. I don't see her arguing with that. Only saying that people are always capable of going too far and having unintended consequences. Which is also true 😟 .
