You probably don't think about #sewer #rat #ecology. Or rather, you probably don't want to think about it. But Guo et al. (2023) did in this comprehensive review. This type of work is important for #public #health and control of #invasive #species. Rats prefer: 🐀 narrow pipes, 🐀 low water flow, 🐀 older construction materials, 🐀 disrepair leading to nooks and crannies, 🐀 being near to houses and restaurants, 🐀 organic matter, for instance from sink grinders. 🔗 https://link.springer.com/article/10.1007/s11252-022-01292-x
