I am deeply disappointed by this news. As much as I'm sympathetic to the Ukrainian cause, the use of cluster bombs (that kill civilians for years after they are dropped) is by definition a war crime.

Ukraine shouldn't be using them, and the US shouldn't be providing them.

@jmb #Russia first used cluster munitions in 2022 against the civilians in #Kharkiv. Russia keeps using them now together with phosphorous substances & chemical weapons to literally wipe out everything, leaving the scorched ground instead of the civilian houses. #Bakhmut, Mariinka, Avdiivka & so on.
Where is your condemnation of all those hienous war crimes? Deeply concerned, right.
Sorry, the selective approach & "activism" is a clear element of "let #putin continue this #genocide".

@ThisThornyRose @jmb Exactly. The only way to end the ONGOING murder of innocent Ukrainians is to by the use of force throw out the russian invaders as they apparently aren’t leaving by their own free will. If that means using dangerous weapons (all weapons can kill civilians, just look at how russia is doing now), then do so. Ukraine need to demine their country for many many years to come no matter what. #FuckRussia #FuckPutin #SlavaUkraini

@stadsplanering @jmb Thanks to the #russian invaders the occupied part of #Ukraine is now one huge mined wound. It already needs demining. As for civilians - the villages, towns & cities are so damaged after the ruZzian attacks that no civilians will be able to come back and live there. There is NOTHING to go back to. All the basic infrastructure is destroyed. No water. No gas. No electricity. Schools, hospitals and shops are gone, so are the houses.

This is why all the whining about "Ukraine shouldn't take/use the #cluster munitions" sounds so fake & insincere.
#Ukraine has NO other choice at this point 😔
The territory is already heavily mined & dangerous for EVERYONE (thank you for that, ruzzia 😡). Civilians from the area were either deported to ruZZia, killed by ruZZia or evacuated to the safer part of Ukraine.

Those who care about the civilians so much should call for #Russia to withdraw & end the #war
