Before you create a #Threads account you should know that you canโt delete it without nuking your entire Instagram account.
Yeah yeah, everybody. You deleted your Insta a long time ago. Thatโs not the point. The point is lock-in and abusive behavior to consumers that is already illegal in some places and should be illegal everywhere.
Normal people would never assume that just signing in to a new app with your Insta credentials would mean you can never remove yourself from that new app without also removing yourself from Insta. This is abusive and manipulative behavior from a company with a long track record of abuse and manipulation and I think they should be held accountable for it.
