@christianselig I am so sorry this is happening. To me, Apollo is Reddit.
Despite all this bullshit situation, I hope you’re proud of what you made and every minute people loved using it.
Can’t wait to see what you make next!
@christianselig So sad.
One of my subs was forcibly reopened today after the old mods were removed, so they’re going through with that too.
The last year has been so horrible for the internet. I’m so sorry how it’s affected small devs like you.
@christianselig So, got any fun weekend plans, then?
Apollo is the best. Always was, always will be. Thanks for putting some much effort into a pleasant way to interface with Reddit.
@christianselig 😭
Thank you for the amazing app experience! It was apart of my daily routine as someone who hardly used Reddit any other way for some time. It will be missed.
Wishing you the best and will be following for any of your future projects!
@christianselig My 11 years on #reddit, half of which was almost exclusively through Apollo, has come to an end. My Reddit accounts are gone, but the Apollo icon will still remain on my Home Screen as a reminder of what was..
Thanks for an amazing app, and while #PixelPals is not my cup of tea, I can’t wait to see what you come up with next.
@christianselig Still can't believe how this all turned out. After seeing the way the way this all happened today is the last day Reddit gets any of my time/money.
I hope that the pride for what you created and being able to remove yourself from a toxic situation eventually outweighs the sadness of the whole ordeal.
@christianselig Thank you. It's been a good ride. It was the one app I used the most on a daily basis.
Between #Apolloapp and #Tweetbot, it's forced a lot of people to look around for other interesting services (like #Mastodon).
Hopefully, a cautionary tale to all future API providers on how to deal (or not deal) with third-party apps.
@christianselig Is there any way you could offer (some?) of the icons similarly to the wallpapers?
Would love to "donate" a little and use some of the icons as a homescreen icon for other apps (via Shortcuts).
