With other, non-permanent and effective birth control options available, increases in sterilization procedures and consultations following the Dobbs decision beg the question: why are those living in the U.S. increasingly choosing such drastic interventions? Among the many reasons are the emerging legal threats to accessing reproductive services in many states coupled with inferences that the Supreme Court may be willing to re-evaluate constitutional rights to contraception post-Dobbs.

He insisted he’s pro-family, but after several minutes he realized that there aren’t any policies that he supports that help families grow and thrive. His “pro-family” was more “pro-force-my-ideals-of-what-a-family-should-look-like” and not at all about solving real problems

When their hero Ronnie Regan closed the hospitals for the people with mental illness in New Jersey they just locked the doors and many patients were hanging around the grounds sleeping under the bushes with no place to go.People drove by and gave them food. Thanks Regan you heartless prick …. I was 20 and struggling myself and it taught me a valuable lesson. I am the proletariat worker and I have to help people because the system in power did not give a shit about anything but greed.

1. Quite a few people in the GOP are pro-choice.
2. I'm republican and I am for pre-natal care, and I am pro-choice but anti-abortion. There is never a situation in which killing a fetus is necessary to save a mother's life. There are always other options.

That being said, there are pro-abortion Republicans and pro-life democrats. In spite of how terrible a situation may be, it is objectively wrong to kill a baby.

That discussion exists solely between them and their medical provider. I only want them to have access to the best treatment medical science can provide.

If you want some good recipes or discuss cooking techniques then I will speculate as long as I have the energy. Other then that I am really interested in photographs of birds and insects!

I'm not saying the fetus will survive, just that the baby dying is a side-effect of the treatment.

Only 3% of abortions are for the mother's life, the other 97% is just not wanting a child.

Nice to hear a GOP voice here, I do mean that, it’s a richer forum with more diversity.

When you say you are ‘pro choice’ I hope that means you are happy with choices that involve a sensible say 28 week limit with extensions based on medical opinion or other extenuating circumstances.

You seem to switch between killing a fetus and killing a baby. I wasn’t aware of anyone ever advocating the latter and I would debate even the concept of killing being applied to a fetus.

That does not sound pro-choice in my terminology. Pro-choice in my book is a women’s right to choose for herself in conjunction with her doctor whether or not to terminate her pregnancy, not your right to choose for them.

I think you are confusing the terms baby and fetus here, I suspect deliberately.

I just read a story about a woman whose fetus was found to have a rare condition where it would be born with no functioning kidneys and hence die shortly after. She could find no doctor in her State willing to take the risk of terminating the pregnancy even though it was technically legal there. She was unable to travel out of State and hence was forced to carry the baby for a harrowing three months to full term. It died 96 hours after birth.
