@QasimRashid @TEG I had a chat with my dad about this. He’s a lifelong republican. He insisted he’s pro-family, but after several minutes he realized that there aren’t any policies that he supports that help families grow and thrive. His “pro-family” was more “pro-force-my-ideals-of-what-a-family-should-look-like” and not at all about solving real problems

@QasimRashid he started it with a tirade about how trannies aren’t having kids so the country is shrinking. I mentioned that there weren’t enough trans people for that to actually be true, and that raising kids is insanely expensive and the systems all work against the family. After some back and forth he conceded that he hadn’t really thought it through
