Ok hear me out: SF Symbols, but for *sound effects*
@stroughtonsmith also 3D models and textures
@stroughtonsmith i feel like this would be huge for apps, especially on a more audio heavy platform like visionOS

@stroughtonsmith Apple REALLY needs to step up its sound design game. The newer “Wake Up” alarm sounds are an improvement, but that’s about it. Long ago I thought a “label” for tasteful iOS system sounds could be a good niche business. Sadly a decade later I still think it could be! Default ringtones, message alerts etc, all could be soo much more artfully curated.

Early iOS felt like they imported the iMovie Sound FX library and called it a day.

@stroughtonsmith I know not exactly what you mean, but I’m a fan of https://files.design/sounds
@stroughtonsmith I had a very similar idea a few weeks ago! I even started thinking about making it myself. Ideally they would all be generated (so as not to balloon app size). I'm imagining a new project on top of AudioKit.

@stroughtonsmith SFSfx. I like it.

That would actually be extremely helpful.

@stroughtonsmith we need a good one for when you are a foot away from bumping your head in Vision Pro.
@stroughtonsmith SF Cymbals
@rafa @stroughtonsmith 🥁 👏👏👏. You have now brought us all into the weekend. Thank you so much 😂
@stroughtonsmith That's when I know you've been using visionOS a lot – it has so many little bleeps, clicks, and more!
@stroughtonsmith @BenRiceM YESSS! And maybe include haptic feedback in that too?
@stroughtonsmith Give Eagle a shot, it supports loads of formats and very versatile when it comes to file management. https://eagle.cool/
Eagle - Organize design files has never been easier

A better way to collect, search and organize your design files in a logical way and all in one place.

Eagle - Organize all your reference images in one place
@stroughtonsmith my guess is its a project they are working on. especially with the FCP subscription including those dynamic background music titles, hopefully they start adding more soon.
