@atpfm the green patches Marco referred to on his TV are due to the red pixels degrading. The center of the screen is where faces appear the most, and they have more red than green or blue, resulting in uneven wear. I have the same issue on a 2017 Panasonic OLED (plus serious burn-in from a red broadcast network watermark). Connect a Mac to the TV, and you can see the individual colour burn patterns as part of a comprehensive browser-based monitor test at https://www.eizo.be/monitor-test/

Possibly the greatest direct marketing fail of this century is Coles telling me that brussels sprouts are on sale.

As iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max model shipping dates push into October and even mid November, Blue Titanium seems to be still fairly readily available. Some configs still shipping on 22/9, others shipping a week later (in Australia).
This may be a controversial take, but I love Apple Music's new Discovery Station
Desperately trying to find the watch party link to whatever the hell Barnaby Joyce will be watching tonight.
So how is it that when I downloaded Xcode 15 beta 2, all that I got was the IOS17 beta 2 simulator, the visionOS 1 beta simulator, and an Xcode 15 beta 2 downloadmanifest file? But no actual XCode? WTAF!?

I had heaps of fun at the X World conference last week and was honoured to be invited as one of the guests on the live recording of the Mac Admins podcast with @tbridge and Marcus Ransom.

This was my first conference as a Microsoft employee and I was blown away by the warm, friendly welcome by the local anzmac community.

Coincidentally, it was also my very first in-person, public speaking opportunity.

I want to give a quick shout out to Lynette Ma from Jamf and a great example of why I love this community. Just before my session started, I was quite nervous. Lynette, who I'd never spoken to before gave me a thumbs up and said 'You're going to do great'. This made all the difference and gave me the confidence boost I needed. Thank you Lynette 🙏

Many thanks to @markmorow for encouraging me to submit this talk when the CFP came up and for Michael Epping and the rest of the macos v-team in Microsoft Identity for the great content they've created. It's quite easy when you are standing on the shoulders of giants.

Credit to @bartreardon for the pic. BTW if you are a Mac Admin and you haven't heard of his swiftDialog go check it out right now https://github.com/bartreardon/swiftDialog

It’s been great in Melbourne and while I sit here watching the news as I await my three hour delayed connecting flight out of Adelaide, I reflect on the great times I had in Melbourne (including on the flight over) and wouldn’t change a thing. What a lovely few days! Looking forward to home though :)
