Here's a favourite of mine. An absolutely spellbinding #gig by #MGMT 2018

Bizarrely making their festival entrance on the mainstage AFTER headliners Pearl Jam had finished their traditionally long set. It could have been a damp squib. But they played hit after hit, fun & full of energy it was a wonderful performance, with a mesmerising video wall & light show that went on until after 3am. We left euphoric

I saw The The twice in 2018. First at the #BrixtonAcademy then a couple of days later at #TheTroxy . I hadn't seen Matt and his band in their 80s heyday so this reunion tour was fantastic for me.

Here's OMD @BrightonCentre 2021.
The synth pop pioneers performed the 1981 album Architecture & Morality followed by a 2nd half of hits. Their moody electro soundscapes made them a serious art band, but the audience went wild for the big pop tunes & Andy McCluskey came into his own as a dancing front man

#PearlJam headlined at Nos Festival in Lisbon, 2018 and was joined on stage by Jack White and Josh Homme.

The photos are a bit rubbish, blurred and grainy as it was a large festival and I was a million miles back, but it's great to have any memento of a brilliant gig.

They were touring the In Mind album but I was a big fan of their previous, the acclaimed Atlas, which they played a lot from. Wonderful multi layered guitar interplay, melodies & vocal harmonies takes you back to an imagined Laurel Canyon.

I met the late Sean Hughes at this gig. The 2nd time I'd met him at a gig for a nice chat, previously being a Wonderstuff/Wedding Present gig. He was to sadly pass a few months later

Continuing my photos of #gigs past here's a #throwback to #KendrickLamar playing #Copenhagen in 2018. He was touring his Damn album.

As well as being mainstage he appeared in a mini cage that rose from the seats of the stalls. I was able to take good shots as he was quite close.

Continuing my photos of #gigs past here's a #throwback to #TheNational playing #NOS Lisbon in 2018. I was quite far back as I often am at festival mainstages.

The National are a really good live band, considering their more low key brand of rock. It was the only time I've seen them. The crowd loved them.
