@charlotteclymer Glad to see at least that the school district is taking steps to ban the harassers. It probably helps that it's in Canada, where the Human Rights Act specifically protects gender identity and a number of established sports groups there have made statements in support of trans athletes (e.g. https://cces.ca/canadian-women-sport-and-cces-oppose-world-rugby-ban-trans-women) There are also some more TERFy groups kicking up a fuss there, but they generally don't have the government backing them up at this point.

@Andii @charlotteclymer It'd better be. Cyberbullying is a crime and this was worse. An adult spewing hateful stuff about children in front of other children, some of whom are bound to repeat and use for further bullying of the child.

Personally I think the 'adult' should be held for a psychological evaluation. They clearly aren't functioning within societal norms and are out there harming kids.

At 9 many girls are still pre-puberty so the obvious secondary sexual sex characteristics won't have developed & even in those who have most won't have developed enough to be easily noticeable with clothes on. Very few will have very obvious breasts for example.

Regardless of secondary sexual sex characteristics that develop no kid should be harassed and misgendered. & if the wrong secondary sexual sex characteristics start developing for their gender assigned at birth it doesn't mean they are trans. More like intersex.
