Power generation from my solar roof panels today. Nice sunny day. Generated 52.84 kWh of electricity between 5:25 and 20:40. My average use is between 10 and 20 kWh per day. So I'm generating more electricity than I use.

BC Hydro charges $0.1172 / kWh at tier 1, and $0.1408 at tier 2. I don't know at what rate BC Hydro buys back the excess electricity my roof panels are producing. Let's say it is tier 1: 52.84 kWh * $0.1172 / kWh = $6.19 per day. That's $185 for the month of June?

I haven't received a bill yet since this was installed a few weeks ago, so I really don't know how this works. Purely guessing at this point. #SolarPower #Okanagan #Kelowna
