The GOP has introduced a bill to EXPEL Palestinians from the United States. I cannot read such things without remembering what happened to my own family after Pearl Harbor. After we and 120,000 other Japanese Americans were incarcerated in prison camps for years, without charge or trial, my own mother was very nearly expelled to Japan because of racial prejudice and hatred. Only the brave actions of a civil rights attorney saved her from being sent away. #NeverAgain

This happens a lot.

In this case, this is likely because this is his last term as mayor, and he doesn't believe that TX can have a non-GOP governor or senator.

On that point, I think he's wrong. I think that Texas is ready for a democratic governor or senator.

In a fair system, switching parties would trigger an automatic recall election. Voters should get to choose again.

I wish more people could get it right.

The ultra rich are not wealth creators, they are wealth extractors & wealth hoarders. Everytime the cost of several new schools and hospitals gets spaffed away on lux mansions, private jets, Mediterranean super yachts etc it is a disinvestment in society, a misallocation of increasingly finite resources.

Each new billionaire is evidence of society failing. #NoBillionaires

California is under seige with transphobic, queerphobic attacks, both physically, legal and psychological.

The most "liberal" state in the US is under a state of terrorism by RW provocateurs operating at a Nation-wide scale.

While this can be witnessed in monthly campaigns by LOKA, and weekly campaigns in every city by astro-terfed conservative groups, this grows most expansive as we witness the growing amount of bomb threats against public schools with Gender-inclusive policies.

Can we get the help of a journalist to create a pin/map of all the places targeted this year with these campaigns? We think a visual is in order to truly comprehend how under siege California really is right now.

Please tag someone you think would be willing to take up this task.

This must be a terrifying time to be a Trans & Queer child in California. We urge you to be the adult you needed as a child during this time and show up for us.

As a reminder, around this time last year, RWers were firebombing queer venues, synagogues and immigrant service businesses for several consecutive weeks straight.
