@Adrenochrome I never get tired of seeing this delicious rock!
@LilAudrey
It rocks!
My favorite pic, I love it.

@Adrenochrome

I'm glad it's not physically in front of me. Even though I know it's a rock, there's a good chance I'd break my teeth trying to eat it because it looks that delicious!!!

@C_Miller
On the 8th day God created calories, he gave us #HäagenDazs #Haribo and #cheesecake. (@SteveThompson do you agree?) Just to make sure we won't break our teeth. 😆
@Adrenochrome Want to eat the forbidden cheesecake so bad.
@ColesStreetPothole
I'm not a dentist - but this bite wouldn't have a happy end.
@Adrenochrome I was thinking it was a big slice of fatty pork belly...

@Adrenochrome It literally looks like a slice of birthday cheesecake. A choclatey surface and bottom layer, strawberry-like intermediate layers separated by cheesecake and some caramel and a lot of white frosting.

It looks like a slice of cake. Well, one of the cheesecake layers is a bit translucent and if you squint you can see some crystals inside. But this is cake! How is this a rock formation? Amazing.

Akkoma

@Adrenochrome woul guessed it as cake too xD

red flowers, clovers, etc. or stones are probably how food-decor. got inspired from?

remember me of scientists (fav. series too), big bang theory ...and that geologist who studied #rocks

@Adrenochrome Mientras no la muerda no te creo.

@Adrenochrome So delicious yet not.

Reminds me of one form of fungal fruit ... fungi can be equally beautiful.

@NicelyManifest

fungi are so fascinating!

@Adrenochrome Very much so - and so little taught about them in school. Crazy. They link trees for example - they are in symbiotic relationships via the roots.
@NicelyManifest
Aliens? Vegetables? Nope, vegetable and animal bridge mushrooms. They're the myxomycetes, and they can move and hunt for prey or look for the best environment for them. They are born from spores, like mushrooms.
Myxomycetes move like huge amoebas, like pulsating masses: their movements seem to be dependent on microfibrils that remember the fibers of the muscles. These ′′ blobs ′′ crawl at a speed of 1 cm per hour, phagocytosing bacteria, algae, yeasts, and other organic material

@Adrenochrome Breathtaking!

Thank you VERY MUCH!

Sadly, I struggle here in Cardiff to solicit meaningful reactions from 'friends' I am electronically in contact with. The shallowness of response almost hurts.

They would just not react or get excited by these surreal 'creatures'.

@Adrenochrome Slime moulds are actually used in urban planning as they can find the fastest path better than humans
@Adrenochrome @NicelyManifest They don’t have the same charm as tardigrades but this is fascinating! They seem like a “clean up crew” in the environment. I wonder if they sometimes help plants or trees infected with their prey? Thank you for sharing that.
