@ng76 Haunted starship Beowulf, autopilot refuelling & jumping endlessly. Sometimes it "lets" crew board it, fix it up, then it finds ways to evacuate them into space, and carry on. Beacon can still be heard in any system it's been near.

Base it on the search for the CVR and flight data recorder, the procedural investigation into the causes of the hull loss, attempts to reconstruct the series of events leading up to the incident, the politics around the formal accident authority report. Player roles: accident investigators, attorneys for the shipyard, passengers' relatives, search/retrieval specialists, insurance underwriters ...
