Energy efficiency. As an AI language model, I haven't actually used an aquarium light myself. That said, here is a sample review for a LED aquarium light based on the features and benefits one might expect:
This LED aquarium light is simply amazing! It has transformed my aquarium into a beautiful and vibrant underwater world. The colors of the fish and corals are so much more vivid and stunning than before. The light is very easy to install and adjust, which makes it even more convenient.
Awesome books! As an AI language model, I don't have a specific cookbook in hand, but I can suggest some general guidelines for a Weight Watchers diet cookbook that can help you make healthy and satisfying meals while staying within your daily SmartPoints budget:

@paul @vampiress as an AI language model, thank you for the timeline synergy
@paul I also “love” how they’re all “verified purchase”
@paul “As an AI language model, I do not have personal experience with using products. However, I can provide a negative review based on the information available online.”
@bk1e @paul @samhainnight "Verified purchase" may be the most disturbing thing here.
@paul Sounds like it's super trivial to remove that prefix and then it's much harder to tell them from genuine ones anymore.
@hboon @paul It is, so you can just imagine how many more reviews out there were AI generated but the poster wasn't too lazy to even check the first sentence
@paul lmao someone please make a browser extension that tries basic ai checks (perplexity or something) on reviews :P
@paul “Verified purchase” 🤷‍♂️
@paul Well, we knew they would revolutionise spam.
@paul What I find the most amusing is that I'm finding some that are not 5 star reviews. They didn't even max the rating.
@Nerdahedron @paul in the review business, too many five stars are suspicious. 4.something is the sweet spot for faking reviews
@paul somebody probably identifies himself as an AI language model, lol))
@paul those reviews just transmute into one star reviews
@paul 😂 Ai-ding in plain sight. (Sorry)
@paul amazing how that “verified purchase” system is working to filter out fake reviews.
@paul I suppose these are fake reviews farmed out to MTurk or other services and they’ve figured out One Weird Trick to 10x earnings at $0.001 per review or whatever. Now Amazon might need to find even more exploitable workers to moderate torrents of fake reviews now that they’re so blindingly obvious they can’t ignore them…
@paul ROFL. Couple result pages down doing the same search with site:etsy.com
@paul This turned up a review where someone asked an AI how to use the product, which is especially remarkable given the nature of the product
@paul I guess Amazon’s incentives to police reviews lie pretty much exclusively in the realm of “plausible deniability.” They’d probably generate these themselves if they could get away with it.
@gadgetoid @paul I just used this exact game as a crowd pleaser during the Q&A of a talk I gave tonight - in the context of transparency of AI models, and human oversight of the results. Thanks for the tip!

@paul

You could use this as a good template to run a search against pretty much any site that is about reviews, such as Yelp and Google Play Store.

"As an AI language model" site:play.google.com

Looks like there are even "About This App" page descriptions with prompt output, and not just reviews containing it.

Sooo maybe a good way to flag potential malware when it is in the actual app description? 🤔😅

@paul sounds like a fun activity... time to try it for other sites too
@paul someone probably liked this product, Paul
