With newly added iOS 12 support, today I’m excited to announce that Mona will be free to use on iPhone 5s, iPhone 6, and iPhone 6 Plus, making the Mastodon experience accessible to more people around the world.
I’m happy to announce that Mona will be globally available on App Store early next month (May 2023). More details coming soon.
Thank you for your continued support! Mona will be globally available on App Store starting May 1, 2023. You will be able to install the app and use many features for free. You can also purchase a Mona Pro or Mona Pro Max to activate extra capabilities. For customers of Spring and Spring mini, Mona Pro Max can be purchased with a great discount.
* USD prices listed on the picture are only valid until May 31, 2023. Prices may vary in different regions.
What's the difference between Mona Pro Max and Mona Pro?
1. Mona Pro Max works on three types of devices: iPhone, iPad, and Mac; Mona Pro only works on one of your selected device type; 2. Mona Pro Max supports Family Sharing.
@MonaApp Any discount for those who beta tested the app?
@kylewritescode @MonaApp I guess no. I am with Mona since the first version, so it would be nice, but those discounts doesn't happen all the time.
@Urun @MonaApp I know. Doesn’t hurt to hope though. Lol.
@MonaApp So if I understand correctly, Mona will be free to download from the App Store, and then the full “Pro/Pro Max” version is bought inside the app via an in-app purchase? As opposed to the “pay up-front” pricing that Spring used?
@MonaApp Thank you for the one time fee pricing model!
@MonaApp What extra do you gain by going Pro Max compared to the Pro?
@t3kk Mona Pro Max works on three types of devices: iPhone, iPad, and Mac; Mona Pro only works on one type of device. Mona Pro Max also add support for Family Sharing.
@MonaApp Ah ha that i what I thought it might be. Pro Max for me then :)
@MonaApp Thank you for your continuous support for accessibility! Can you list the differences between free and paid versions?
@negi4a Please check the alt text:
@MonaApp Thank you for the detailed information.
@MonaApp @negi4a This looks awesome. Will it automatically detect if we’ve previously purchased spring?
@andricheli @MonaApp I haven’t bought spring, so I have no idea. But I am sure there is a way and the developer will point you to the right direction.
@MonaApp is there a feature matrix which shows the differences between the different tiers?
@breadandwater Currently not. Mona Pro Max works on three types of devices: iPhone, iPad, and Mac; Mona Pro only works on one type of device. Mona Pro Max also add support for Family Sharing.
@MonaApp Hi there, what's the difference between all the tears?
@MonaApp This is amazing!! I can’t wait. I love this app, and its just the best.
@MonaApp More Icon options please! The default icons are a bit dull.
@MonaApp Are there any plans to offer sync without iCloud? I'm using devices with different iCloud accounts (work/personal) and I'd love to not manually sync the reading position between them.
@MonaApp Looking forward to it will this be for both iOS and macOS? Will the beta program then close or new ones opened?
@MonaApp Definitely the best client so far. I’m excited to get my hands on the final release soon.

@MonaApp 🎉 Looking forward to that!

Would be nice if you could do something extra for people like me who bought your Twitter client “Spring” (hoping to use custom API keys) very recently (a month ago) and then (a week later…) learned that Twitter will shut down the entire free (read?) API this weekend 😢

@MonaApp I cannot wait to give you my money! :-) Thank you that throughout this process, you have actively engaged the blind community in order to ensure that the app remains accessible.
@MonaApp Are there any plans to add sounds for notifications that differ from the default ding #iOS uses?
@MonaApp Any news about the option to set the language of post?
@MonaApp Hey have you had any luck with the ability to change the ringtone for your app on iOS?
@MonaApp Congratulations! It’s a great app!
@MonaApp thank you so much for letting us know about this awesome change coming in May. I do really appreciate it and I look forward to trying your app for myself.
@MonaApp My wallet is ready; take my 💰😂
@MonaApp Remember to add a tip jar before launch, I'm pretty sure many people will want to keep contributing to your work after purchasing Mona =)
@MonaApp @brianhartgen Hope I’ll be able to purchase out app.
@MonaApp You need to create a version which will run on the Apple Lisa.
@MonaApp I’ll be buying. And supporting @IceCubesApp and subscription to @ivory ….
@MonaApp This is fantastic if only to get rid of the yellow dot and the extra word in the icon on my Home Screen.

I love @[email protected] but I don't love how I was backreading posts from 7 hours ago, loaded more, and then it skipped to ones from 5 hours ago 😞 (Also, while I'm addressing things I would love to see on Mona, custom emojis in the compose screen as well as navigation not disappearing when I scroll my timeline are what lead me to usually prefer other apps!) #MonaApp #iOS #ThirdPartyMastodon ETA: Turning off full-screen mode solved the navigation bar situation!

@MonaApp So Spring for Twitter had been working great the past month or so and the past couple day it stopped. Is it dead?
@dominocollege Turn off "Twitter Connectivity Tests” in Advanced Settings and you are good to go.
@MonaApp That worked. How is Spring still able to work as other clients we’re shut down?
