The Leasey installer has now been modified to take a backup of any existing JAWS scripts prior to installing Leasey.
Prior to installation, a message box appears stating exactly where those scripts are being backed up to so they can be easily located.
In the event there is a difficulty with the installation, assistance can be then given to revert back to the previous installation and configuration of JAWS.
However, as stated in the documentation, if additional script files have been installed before Leasey, or extensive configurations made, it is worth checking to ensure there are not going to be any conflicts. Worse case scenario is that you can be assisted to merge any existing configurations into the Leasey product. It is always wise to check first. It is not going to cost you anything to ask.
For Leasey users who want to hear the ACB Convention coverage. All the stations are in the new radio directory, and this year, they have full titles: the stream numbers and the kind of information they contain. So you can easily listen with your favourite player. They are all under the Public Community and Speech category or you can search ACB. #LeaseyLove
Attention #nvdasr users. By now, you all should have gotten the latest version of #RemoteIncidentManager, version 3.4.3. This makes Remote Incident Manager entirely compatible with NVDA2025.1.

Accessibility Overlays

In this episode, Desiree and I discuss those terrible accessibility overlays that promise to make websites more accessible while actually doing little to improve accessibility. As Desiree's demonstration shows, these overlays are hard to use, don't behave consistently, and provide little in the way of greater access.
