@GottaLaff you're overstating what's happening. Two Legislators are being sanctioned for taking part in protests inside the capitol that disrupted business. Their behavior was anti-democratic almost as much as the 1/6 rioters. It's a difference of degree, not kind.
There's a right way to do things and a wrong way. When you're an elected representative of the people you have to play by certain rules. Rules everyone has to follow.

It's become absolutely ridiculous tbh. i.e. Now takes over 13mo to issue citizenship papers to Canadians born abroad because consulates were removed from the process. Very embarrassing.

@GottaLaff so I'll be honest, back when I was a teen & Obama was elected I asked why the GOP wasn't expelled from the Feds (like w/ Reconstruction Era) b/c of 1960's rhetoric of "Big Tent" Dems. I was told white power terrorists would kill too many people. The irony being the GOP wasn't expelled in "hopes" of deescalation, but now the GOP did that in Tennessee anyways. Why were fascists platformed?

@GottaLaff The Tennesse Republican supermajority isn't satisfied with having all the power. They've been trying to remove dissenting voices, and Gloria Johnson, a great Rep, has been their biggest nemesis.
They've left her w/o an office or assistant, put her desk in an open area surrounded with their eavesdroppers, redrawn her house out of her district. Nevertheless, she persisted.
