This is a VERY SERIOUS situation unfolding in #Nashville. Reps who stood w/their constituents who came to state house to demand #guns safety are facing expulsion from the House. Their Member ID badges have already been turned off. This is how #democracy ends.

@GottaLaff when women’s rights started getting eroded this year in the USA we reached out to all of our cousins and nieces that have dual citizenship and told them they always have a safe haven at our place. They are lucky they can make a run for the border, I’m concerned for all of my friends down there that don’t have the dual citizenship.

@Bwacton Your offer was so generous. It took us over 3 years to get PR. We’re not citizens. Our kids are in BC too, going through the endless process now.

@GottaLaff @Bwacton Three years is really fast for most countries, but I do apologize for the present inefficiency. Processing speeds fell when Harper centralized everything in Ottawa, and then fell off a cliff during COVID.

It's become absolutely ridiculous tbh. i.e. Now takes over 13mo to issue citizenship papers to Canadians born abroad because consulates were removed from the process. Very embarrassing.
