Mixed feelings on #Budget2023 but overall positive. It's at least a companion to #Biden's historic #InflationReductionAct & likewise invests solidly on #Canada's businesses fighting the #ClimateEmergency. That's important. By my crude math it's at best 1/3rd of the battle.

I went to #CalgaryEconomicDevelopment's 2023 Economic forecast in Nov 2022. A dozen times #EnergyTransition was mentioned positively onstage. I felt like getting up on my table & shouting "welcome to the party". The message: #YYC's businesses get it.
Our business community sees themselves as national leaders, not laggards & are fully capably of reading the transition writing on the wall. The fact is #YYC gets it but nobody's talking to us about it.

@Bentley there is definitely a lot to be optimistic about right now. The EU is showing that renewable energy is completely viable for powering a full-scale industrialized nation.
When rep*blicans and rep*blican-adjacents try to argue that the US should be "energy independent," the logical and natural method of achieving such a goal is to ditch fossil fuels altogether.
(This also applies to Canada and the Conservative folks)
