@augieray Since Jim Jordan is so small (in stature as well as intelligence), I’m sure the reason he hasn’t accomplished ANYTHING during his career as a politician is because EVERYTHING seems huge to him. A mind, so small, is only working on instinct (as the cavemen) for survival, so isn’t capable of doing more.

So let me break it down how many "real" as in substantive policies have Dems passed on those issues in the past when they had full control? How many times have they promised a bill would fix a social issue but as written wasn't a give away to the rich. @augieray @kurtsh I don't mean permanent, but this seems to be a battle shaping up between DeSantis/Florida and Disney, and (in my view) Florida is way more dependent on Disney than Disney is on Florida. Would the Board choose to instead allow their content to be vetoed by the Governor of Florida?

I just realized now that the definition for this phenomenon was invented in 1984, by George Orwell in his [at-the-time] fictitious novel 1984:

Doublethink: the power of holding two contradictory beliefs in one's mind simultaneously, and accepting both of them.

There’s a bit of a difference between the minor contradictions of a Willy Loman and engaging the apparatus of the state to enforce ten major interventions, as listed in the post, and a couple of more listed in the comments.
