It only snows about once every ten years here so it’s a big deal. Foothills, 2000 feet.
The cats are unhappy
@Popehat Well they shouldn't have left their bed outdoors!
@Popehat
Oh man! I hope the kitties are inside and you don't lose any plants.
@Popehat Your failure to manage the weather.

@Popehat

I would try (ha!) to explain to them that you are going to handle this pro bono, and the problem will be fixed soon if they just stop whining.

I am sure they will provide retainer deposits.

Somewhere.

Good luck. It appears to be a tricky case.

@Popehat As we tell our cats, "It's not good weather for kitties!"
@Popehat Perhaps they would be entertained by watching HGTV's new show: Rico to the Rescue!
@Popehat the cats report that outside is broken and you should fix it, human.
@Popehat It's obviously your fault.

@Popehat Snow didn't go over well with my cat, either.
@Viss yep. Just north of the city.
@Popehat absolutely wild. im in san diego and its just extremely wet. 42f and rainy. almost two inches just today

@Viss @Popehat

Cold rain sucks. It sucks your body heat away quickly.

@SpaceLifeForm @Viss @Popehat Totally agree! It can be in the single digits here with snow and it's still way better than a cold rain.
@Popehat It rained in Fresno yesterday so hard that it felt like it might be the end of the world.
@Popehat La Cresenta?
@Popehat Grew up down the hill in Burbank.
@Lightfighter @Popehat Me too. I lived at the top of Groton Drive from 1965 until 1980.
@ChrispyCritter @Popehat Keystone and Clark
@Lightfighter @Popehat Burroughs HS. My sister and brother went to Burbank.
@ChrispyCritter @Popehat Graduated JBHS in 86
@Lightfighter @Popehat We moved during my Sophomore year to Bend, OR. I went to John Muir Jr. High, but never attended high. Burbank/ LA seemed like the middle of the world when I was growing up there. I think a lot of us felt that way too.
@Lightfighter @Popehat
I mean where else in the world do you see your home town on TV almost every night.
@ChrispyCritter Mother worked for Disney, Father and Step-father in aerospace, Lockheed and such.
@Lightfighter There are way too many people with the same employers. My parents didn't work for either of those, but I knew many, many that did. A classmate's father was a graphic artist at Disney and designed the Disney stamp. A neighbor worked on the SR-71.
@Popehat Glad to see you and your snark over here on mastodon. Been following for a long time on the bird app.

@Popehat

Below Sonora

I feel your cold

brrrrr

@Popehat how have you gotten more snow than we have in Philly this winter
@Popehat I lived in the Verdugo hills of Burbank for 14 years. I never saw it snow.

@Popehat

How are the cats reacting?

Are they looking for a restraining order?

@Popehat The rain and cold did blow in a flock of about 10 robins into our San Fernando Valley backyard. In all my decades in LA, I had never before seen a robin. Beautiful birds, and big - size of a blue jay.
@Popehat
10/10 patio right there.
@Popehat we’re about the same elevation on the other side of the mountains but we seem to get snow every couple of years.
@Popehat has the city shutdown, and all the grocery stores emptied of bread & milk?
We had hail near the beach today. Kind of a lot of it and it stuck around for a while.
@Popehat i like your pergola

@molly0xfff @Popehat

Siri, what sounds like a euphemism but isn’t

@Popehat Oh man you're a pergola man too!
